Living in America Series

As I look towards my future, I know I will be living in several different countries. Which is why I find it prudent to meet and talk with people currently living in those countries. As I talk to more and more people, especially in Asia, a disturbing trend has come about. People think the USA is an amazing country. Everyone makes more money than they need. Freedom. Everyone owns a home. Everyone is welcome. The 1950’s propaganda machine.

With the main justification being that USA salaries are so high compared to salaries in Asian countries. Which is true, but completely ignores the difference in cost of living.

With everything I know about the perception that Asians have of the USA, I feel compelled to correct it. Or, at the very least, present evidence to prove the contrary.

Thus, this blog post series.

The topics will be Apartment Costs, Healthcare Costs, Car Costs, Groceries, Child Costs, Debt, and Income. These will be covered in generalities because the main point is to expose the average American’s life, which can differ greatly between regions.

I hope this helps!
